It is said that the historic village of Coldwater is the second oldest community in Ontario, with its first settlers landing in the mid-1700s. While the area celebrates its history with the Coldwater Canadiana Museum and the Coldwater Heritage Grist Mill, it also draws people in with its friendly vibe and robust streetscape and shopping and dining opportunities including restaurants, boutique shoppes, a grocery store, LCBO and Beer Store. Highway 400 is close by to get you into Barrie or Toronto quickly. Coldwater is also a close-knit community with everything from century homes to newer builds. It’s an excellent area to raise a family or retire. While it’s about a 20-minute drive to Orillia, it’s also not far from the shores of Georgian Bay.
